I was born and raised in Sacramento and the surrounding suburbs as an only child getting lost in my own head. I’ve always had a need to draw, color, create, and gather. I’m primarily a collage artist but I also paint and embroider. I prefer using discarded objects and vintage images found in my travels- estate sales, thrift stores, on the street, or from my own family’s history which are worn and with a story to tell. With my art I explore color and the ideas of home, family, imperfection.
